Here is the news regarding our newly hired assistant principal from our principal, Debi Briggs-Crispin:
“Good Morning Rosemont Ridge Families,
I hope you and your family are having a wonderful summer and enjoying the absolutely beautiful weather we are experiencing. It has been spectacular and I’ve had fun spending time with family and friends, golfing, barbecuing, and reading on the back deck. I look forward to hearing about your family’s summer fun once the new school year begins.
As you know, Jim Severson has recently been selected as the Wood Middle School principal and we are all so very happy for him and the Wood community. In searching for his replacement we engaged in a very extensive selection process that included screening, multiple interviews, written essays, a video taped observation and feedback activity with a teacher, reference checks, and culminating interviews. Teachers, support staff, parents, and a student participated in the interview team. It was a very thorough process and I am confident that we have selected an excellent individual to join our school leadership team and school community.
I am pleased to announce that Greg Mylet will be our new assistant principal! Greg has worked for 24 years with middle school students and has been at Lake Oswego Junior High for the past 19 years. Most recently, Greg has been leading STEM partnership activities in the Lake Oswego schools. Greg brings his experience with students and teacher leadership to our school and I am thrilled to have him join us. We are confident that he is well prepared to join us in our important work of helping our school continue to provide excellence in learning for all of our students.
Greg and I are excited to begin our work together and want to start by introducing him to our amazing school community. We will have an opportunity to “Meet Mr. Mylet” on Thursday, August 28th between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. Feel free to stop by if you have a moment to do so.
We hope you enjoy the last few weeks of summer and look forward to welcoming your student(s) to the 2014-15 school year on Tuesday, September 2nd, for 6th graders, and on Wednesday, September 3rd for 7th and 8th graders. And we hope to see you all at the Annual Back-To-School-BBQ on Friday, Sept. 5th.
See you soon!
